Capoeira
​
A mixture of combat, dance and play, which is practiced to the rhythm of percussion, it is the art of struggling while dancing and of dancing while struggling. Coming originally from African dances practiced by different peoples of the black continent, capoeira is a typically Brazilian art.
At the same time game, fight, dance, folklore, philosophy, it is a rich whole, a very surprising complex which allows the players to show all their creativity, their capacity to improvise and to dialogue by the body with the partner who is also adversary. .
Capoeira teaches those who practice it to know themselves better, to develop both their body and their mind, to find their own balance (physical and mental) through play. It teaches respect, tolerance, friendliness.
Capoeira today attracts a very varied audience: many young people fascinated by acrobatic movements, close to Hip Hop, but also people of all ages, often attracted by its originality, its combination of wrestling and dancing, its rhythm and its music. . It represents one of the best access routes to Brazilian culture.
